Who knows the results it’ll brings by challenging one’s biological clock? I once heard that when we are young, we’d better not to challenge our biological clock. It’ll do great harm to our body when we are old. Especially staying up all night. When I was a student, many of my classmates and friends would stay up all nights at the net bars. But I never do that. At least I know it’ll do no good.

This month, due to my work, I have to work at night for a whole month. This is really painful. Even during the weekends, I have to keep my timetable in line with that in week days. That means, I will not see the sun for a month. Now, three weeks have passed, how I wish these painful days can go quickly. However, my boss said that probably we should work overnights for aother month, Gee whiz!

I don’t know whether I can cope with it for another months, I don’t want to live several years less.

Hi Kevin,

Today it is raining in Wuhan and I am reading your blog as I listen to the raindrops splash against my window. Friday, July 24, was my last day of teaching English in summer camp at H.U.S.T, the university in Wuhan. Tomorrow I leave for Loudi City where I will teach for 6 months. I will have a vacation in August and I will travel to some other cities in China during that time.

I once had a job working "the graveyard shift". I worked nights from 11:00pm to 7:00 in the morning. I worked for our emergency services department, 911. It is very difficult to work in the evenings when most people are sleeping. I hope you can switch to day work soon. I think it is abnormal to sleep when the sun is shining.

Yesterday I bought some cards that I can use to learn how to write some Chinese characters. Today I will learn the character for rain - yu.

I am enjoying my stay in China and I enjoy reading your blog. I haven't been able to keep up my daily blog due to my heavy work load here but now that I am on vacation I will try to do more writing.

Hi Martha,

I did not have too much time for me to surf the internet during these painful days, it is really a suffering. But what makes me feel a little better is that I can practice my spoken English by calling American companies. O(∩_∩)O~

I'm glad to know that you will have a vacation during the August. Hope you can visit as many Chinese places as possible. There are so many beautiful sceneries in China, hope you can enjoy it. It's great that you are learning Chinese, which, to some extent, is very difficult. but if you can learn by heart, I am sure your Chinese will be improved quickly, because you have this language environment. Learning Chinese well will also make your life here easier. Two of my foreign colleagues are also learning Chinese now. They went to an university to learn that, so they impove it in a short time. Though you learn by yourself, I do believe that you will be improved a lot through your hard work.

Please enjoy days in China.

Kevin
